Behavioral Health Technician (BHT)
Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) is a person who works directly with a client carrying out the daily interventions designed by the BC or BC ABA. The BHT works in the home, school or community setting, depending on the prescription of hours and the client's area of need. BHT's collect data on behaviors identified in the client's individualized treatment plan.
Qualifications:
One of the following
Minimum of a high school diploma or Bachelors degree in psychology, social work or human service related field
2 years experience providing behavioral health services *preferred not required*
Additional Information
All Applicants must provide: Child Abuse, PA State Police and FBI clearances received within the last 90 days
Mandated reporter training completion certificate.
sealed transcripts or obtain copy of original degree as proof of degree‘s (highschool or college)
Completion of 40 hours training in Applied Behavior Analysis (RBT certificate applies) before starting work with clients once hired.
6 hours of A&A training if no previous TSS/BHT experience
Employee must be able to gain access to client's place of treatment whether it is the client's home, school or community.
Employee must be able to read, write and speak fluent English
