Senior Medical Coder – Ear, Nose & Throat ExperienceFull-time | Remote in United States | Monday–FridaySouthwest Idaho Ear, Nose & Throat is hiring a Senior Medical Coder with ENT-specific experience and a strong background in appeals and denial resolution. This is an established, single-specialty ENT practice offering a stable schedule, collaborative team environment, and meaningful ownership over complex coding work.This role is ideal for an experienced coder who understands ENT surgical coding, payer guidelines, and how to successfully manage appeals from start to finish.Key ResponsibilitiesCode ENT surgeries, procedures, office visits, and consults using CPT, ICD‑10, and modifiersReview physician documentation to ensure accurate, compliant codingManage and resolve coding-related denials, appeals, reconsiderations, and adjustmentsWork directly with insurance carriers to ensure timely and complete reimbursementIdentify trends and root causes of denials and recommend process improvementsServe as a coding resource for internal staff and providersEnsure compliance with current coding, reimbursement, and HIPAA standardsSupport patient account inquiries and payment posting as neededUse eClinicalWorks (eCW) for coding and documentation workflowsRequired QualificationsSenior-level medical coding experienceActive medical coding certification strongly preferred (CPC, CCS, or equivalent)ENT-specific coding experience strongly preferredProven experience handling appeals and complex denialsStrong knowledge of ICD‑10, CPT, and modifiersMedicare and Medicaid coding knowledgeExcellent attention to detail and organizational skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently in a fast-paced environmentExperience with eClinicalWorks preferredSchedule & BenefitsFull-time, Monday–Friday (MST Time Zone)No nights or weekendsCompetitive compensation based on experienceHealth, dental, and vision insurance401(k)Paid time offProfit sharingLTD & STDIf you are an experienced ENT coder who enjoys complex cases, appeals work, and being a trusted resource within a specialty practice, Apply Today.
