Housekeeper - Day Shift

If you are looking for a role that helps support meaningful, patient-centered care, this is your opportunity to make a difference!How You’ll Make a Difference (Essential Functions)The position housekeeper, is responsible for ensuring infection control and prevention throughout the Agracefacilities, by following best practices for cleaning and healthcare standards with a focus on quality, communication,and service excellence. Housekeepers are also expected to complete floor care, room set-ups, and special requestsas needed.Key ResponsibilitiesHousekeepingClean all areas of the facilities. Follow written policies, procedures, and protocols when cleaning. Follow manufacturer’s instructions for safe usage and handling of products and equipment. Ensure that assigned housekeeping cart, closet, and supplies are kept clean and stocked at all times. Order housekeeping supplies. Ensure trash, recycling, and confidential materials are collected and correctly disposed of. Complete assigned work orders for housekeeping tasks such as floor care and room set-up. Report damaged finishes, furniture, and equipment for maintenance follow-up. Quality & Service ExcellenceCollaborate with IPU Staff to ensure room cleanliness and customer satisfactionEnsure customer satisfaction with the overall comfort, appearance, and cleanliness of the facilitiesOther DutiesParticipate in internal work groups, meetings and committees relative to position responsibilities. Check email and electronic calendar regularly. Participate in emergency operations plans, specifically fire and tornado safety. Understand and perform daily security rounds. Provide snow removal supportYou Bring (Qualifications)High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and work experienceMinimum of one year experience in healthcare housekeeping setting preferredBeginning Microsoft Office Suite skillsAbility to work effectively and cooperatively with othersAbility to maintain professional boundaries with patients, families and co-workersExperience using industry specific softwareAbility to communicate effectively verbally and in writingAbility to be flexible in time and task to meet organizational needsAbility to maintain confidentiality about patients, families, caregivers, staff, donors, and organizational intellectual property.
