Speech Language Pathologist Location: Alameda, CA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $3,019 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/13/2026 About the Position Job Title: Speech Therapist Profession: Therapy/Rehabilitation Specialty: SLP Home Health Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (08:00 - 17:00) Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: State License required Certifications: BLS, SLP-CF Must-Have: - Master's in speech pathology from an accredited institution - Ability to organize and communicate effectively - Clinical assessment skills in the area of expertise - Effective written and verbal communication skills Description: Develop and implement treatment plans for issues such as stuttering, delayed language, and swallowing disorders. Complete patient evaluations and tests according to Speech Pathology Standards of Practice and other relevant standards. Develop and update the patient's Plan of Care (POC). Assess and provide treatment for patients as per the plan of care and established standards. Complete all documentation related to charge capture per established standards. Coordinate patient care effectively and efficiently with other care providers and support team members. Ensure compliance with departmental and organizational requirements and responsibilities. Assist with clinical supervision of assistants and aides. Function as a clinical instructor for assigned students. Prepare and complete accurate documentation related to patient therapy in medical and departmental records as required. Perform general clerical tasks, such as updating patient appointments and managing Electronic Health Records (EHR). Participate in quality improvement processes and interdisciplinary projects. Maintain a clean and safe working environment, including cleaning equipment after each use. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations regarding patient care. Protect patient confidentiality and safeguard all Protected Health Information (PHI). Retain certification and complete mandatory continuing education requirements for accreditation and licensure. Demonstrate knowledge and skills in alternative communication devices, dysphagia management, and rehabilitation services.
