Software EngineerGenesis10 is currently seeking a software engineer for a contract position with a global financial institution located in Chicago, IL. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.This role will involve developing and supporting a transaction reporting regulatory application for OTC derivatives and FX products across multiple jurisdictions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development within an agile environment.Responsibilities:Assist in developing and supporting a transaction reporting regulatory applicationWork across multiple jurisdictions and asset classes for OTC derivatives and FX productsUtilize agile development life-cycle methodologiesRequirements:Bachelor's degree in computer science or similar3+ years of software development experience1+ years of object-oriented programming experience1+ years of Python programming experience in an enterprise development environmentStrong knowledge of version control (i.e. git, svn, etc.)Experience with testing (unit, integration, etc.), along with test automationStrong knowledge of the SDLCExperience with distributed message system design/developmentWorking knowledge of Unix/LinuxKnowledge of how to build and use RESTful APIsExcellent written and oral communication skillsAbility to problem solve, apply reason, take initiative, use judgment, and perform multiple concurrent tasksDesired skills:Experience in regulatory transaction reporting for CFTC, EMIR, or MiFID IIPay range: $58.26 - $66.26 per hourOnly candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.If you have the described qualifications and are interested in this exciting opportunity, please apply!
