Waterpark CashierReports to: La Joya ISD Water Park/Pool ManagerPay Grade: $9.00/hourServe as a waterpark cashier and ensure all job duties are done. Will serve as a cashier for the La Joya ISD Waterpark. This position is a part time, seasonal job. Must be able to work the entire season, May 30 – August 8. Work hours are scheduled around operating hours at the beginning and end of summer.Qualifications:Education/Certification: High School Diploma (preferred)Special Knowledge/Skills: Active Learning; Problem Solving; Cooperation; Functional Supervision; Program Assessment; Other specialized job requirements include good public relations skills and the ability to control situations in a professional manner that may arise during the job.Major Responsibilities and Duties:Greet guest and take admissions at the front gate.Operate an electronic cash register and credit card machine. Assist in operating the water slides.Perform basic mathematical computations.Balance drawer and manage daily income.Communicate with public in a tactful, polite, and friendly manner.Clean restroom area on hourly schedule. Stock all paper supplies in restrooms.Clean lockers and clear of any items at the end of the day.Assist in party rentals: guest check in, party supplies, and set-up, cleaning of waterpark.Alert the waterpark manager immediately for the following incidences: suspicious acting persons, intoxicated individuals, adults with no children, anyone with a video camera.Must be able to work a rotating schedule seven days a week, up to 20 hours per week.Working Conditions:Mental Demands: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those and employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
