This 12-month, full-time role serves as the operational point person for parent communication, student dismissal tracking, and preschool aftercare staff coordination. The ideal candidate will seamlessly pivot between administrative oversight and active classroom leadership in our Preschool Aftercare and Seasonal Camp programs.At the Lycée, all employees are committed to the delivery of the School’s Mission, to upholding its Diversity Statement and to supporting the vision of the Head of School and the Board of Trustees. They are expected to provide encouragement, offer positive reinforcement, and show respect for each student and each other.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesCore ResponsibilitiesLogistics & Dismissal ManagementCentral Dispatch: Manage real-time dismissal changes, club assignments, and authorized pickup updates; ensure all shifts are communicated immediately to teachers, instructors, and security.Safe Transitions: Oversee the daily dismissal process, ensuring students move safely between classrooms and pickup zones while maintaining strict check-in/out records via school management software/spreadsheets.Traffic & Flow: Optimize peak dismissal hours (3:30 PM – 5:30 PM) to ensure an orderly, welcoming, and efficient experience for parents and students.Staffing & Program SupportPersonnel Coordination: Monitor staff attendance and arrange immediate substitute coverage for after-school instructors.Classroom Support: Serve as a lead substitute in the Preschool Aftercare (Garderie) and seasonal camps; provide lunch-hour coverage for the daytime preschool wing as needed.Pedagogical Collaboration: Support the design and implementation of engaging activities for the aftercare program (Garderie).Special Event Support: Provide essential logistical and onsite support for after-hours school events, including Choir concerts and the Théâtre Festival.Supply & Inventory Management: Maintain a comprehensive inventory log and oversee the organization of all materials for Garderie and After-School clubs; this includes dedicated auditing and restocking during summer camp weeks to ensure readiness for the academic year.Communication & AdministrationParent Ambassador: Act as the primary contact for after-school dismissal changes, handling high-volume calls and emails with professionalism and empathy.Seasonal Camp Support: Assist in the administration and instructional execution of camps during October, April, and Summer breaks.Records Management: Maintain accurate attendance logs, material inventories, and compliance documentation.Key LogisticsSchedule: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Standard school days); 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Seasonal camp weeks).Term: Full-time, 12-month position.Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications and SkillsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Education, Administration, or a related field preferredExperience: 2–3 years in a preschool/primary setting with a strong grasp of developmental milestones. Prior experience in administration or camp management is highly preferred.Technical Skills: Proficiency in Google Workspace (specifically Google Sheets) and school management software (e.g., Blackbaud). Ability to learn other technologies quickly.Soft Skills: Exceptional adaptability to pivot from office tasks to teaching; strong conflict resolution skills for navigating parent concerns and student incidents. Strong communication skills. Organized, proactive, and ability to work in a fast paced environment.Languages: Proficiency in French is a significant plus.Annual Salary Range: $50,000-$55,000Click here to submit your application
