This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining Java-based applications that run on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including microservices and cloud-native solutions. The developer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement scalable architectures, integrate backend services, and optimize application performance and reliability. Daily responsibilities include writing clean and efficient code, configuring cloud infrastructure, working with databases, troubleshooting production issues, and participating in code reviews and technical documentation. The role also includes ensuring best practices in security, monitoring, and deployment within the GCP environment.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Software Development skills, including Java programming, object-oriented design, and experience with microservices or API development.Candidates should possess Infrastructure skills, including experience with configuring and managing cloud environments, CI/CD pipelines, and application deployment tools.Candidates should possess Cloud Computing skills, with hands-on experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services such as Compute, Storage, Networking, and managed application services.Candidates should possess Linux skills, including comfort with command-line tools, shell scripting, and system monitoring in production environments.Candidates should possess Databases skills, including working with relational and/or NoSQL databases, writing queries, and optimizing data access.Relevant additional qualifications include experience with containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), RESTful services, and security best practices in cloud applications.Strong problem-solving abilities, effective communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical team members.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
