Medical Device Service Engineer
Ziemer USA, a subsidiary of the privately owned medical device company Ziemer AG provides products, sales support and technical assistance for clients in the US and Canada. Ziemer innovates, engineers and manufactures femtosecond ophthalmic lasers and biometric devices. Our product portfolio enables Ophthalmic Surgeons to realize better patient outcomes and raise the state-of-the-art in refractive and cataract surgeries. Ziemer USA is looking for applicants to fill one of their limited Medical Device Service Engineer positions. This position will allow for personal growth and upward mobility within our expanding company. The Medical Device Service Engineer serves as an entry level clinical equipment support technician to provide support for installations, upgrades, PM's and service issues as assigned. Investigates and resolves escalated customer reports of technical problems with equipment and analyzes reports of technical problems and/or performance issues to improve serviceability.The Medical Device Service Engineer provides first level support for all service calls into the service line. They are responsible for triage of customer calls and determining the need for on-site visits. In addition, they are responsible for reviewing all in house equipment to ensure that performance is to standard as well as certifying used equipment for future resale.
