While this role is primarily frontend-heavy (React.js preferred), you’ll also work with backend systems in WordPress and Laravel to round out a full-stack skill set.The right person will have deep experience building responsive, performant web applications, know their way around cloud deployments on AWS, and ideally have started incorporating AI-powered tools (Cursor, Claude Code, etc.) into their workflows. Just as important as technical skills, we’re looking for someone with strong soft skills, proven tenure, and a collaborative, team-first mindset.This is an onsite role (4 days per week, 1 day remote) designed to maintain a vibrant, inclusive, and supportive team culture.ResponsibilitiesBuild and optimize high-performance JavaScript applications using modern frameworks (React preferred)Develop and maintain backend integrations with WordPress and LaravelCollaborate with product and design teams to deliver seamless user experiencesIntegrate APIs and external services to support dynamic, large-scale applicationsDeploy and manage systems on AWS (Fargate, S3, Lambda, etc.) using Docker and CI/CD pipelinesLeverage AI-assisted development tools (Cursor, Claude Code, etc.) to improve workflows and productivityMaintain code quality through automated testing, documentation, and peer reviewsTroubleshoot complex issues, debug performance bottlenecks, and ensure reliable systems at scaleQualifications5+ years of modern JavaScript experience, with a strong preference for React.jsSolid understanding of performance optimization and cross-browser compatibility3+ years of PHP development with hands-on WordPress and Laravel experienceExperience working with APIs, microservices, and backend integrationsFamiliarity with AWS services (Fargate, S3, Lambda, etc.) and containerization (Docker)Exposure to AI-powered development tools (Cursor, Claude Code, etc.)Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skillsProven tenure and stability in past roles – we’re looking for builders who invest in long-term impactWhy This Role?A frontend-first engineering role with the chance to still flex backend skillsWork with a team that values nice humans as much as technical excellenceOpportunities to grow with cloud, automation, and AI-driven developmentHybrid flexibility (4 days onsite, 1 day remote) in a collaborative environment
