Director of Business Development
SPAN Enterprises is seeking a Director of Business Development to lead growth through strategic partnerships and market expansion for our SaaS products. This role is responsible for identifying, building, and scaling high-impact partnerships while working closely with company leadership, Marketing, Product, and Sales to ensure alignment across go-to-market strategies. The ideal candidate is a relationship-driven strategist with strong SaaS experience, marketing fluency, and a willingness to travel to cultivate and strengthen key alliances.
Responsibilities
Business Development & Partnerships
Develop and execute a partnership-focused business development strategy aligned with SPAN’s growth objectives.
Identify, pursue, and secure strategic partnerships that expand distribution, increase adoption, and drive revenue.
Lead negotiations for partnership agreements, including deal structure, terms, and long-term collaboration models.
Serve as a senior representative of SPAN with partners, industry organizations, and at conferences and events.
Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and partner performance to identify new opportunities for expansion.
Track and report on partnership performance metrics, pipeline health, and revenue impact.
Travel as needed to support partner development, relationship management, and industry engagement.
Go-to-Market & Marketing Collaboration
Work closely with company leadership and the existing marketing team to support comprehensive go-to-market strategies aligned with company goals.
Collaborate with Marketing and Product Management to develop effective product positioning, launch strategies, and partner-driven promotional campaigns.
Provide strategic input into digital marketing initiatives—including SEO, PPC, email marketing, and social media—ensuring alignment with partnership and revenue objectives.
Utilize data analytics and performance metrics to assess campaign effectiveness and inform business development strategy.
Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and evolving SaaS go-to-market models to keep SPAN competitive and innovative.
Employ Agile methodologies in planning and execution to ensure timely delivery of growth initiatives.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
Proven experience in business development, partnerships, or sales leadership—preferably within a SaaS or technology-driven environment.
Strong understanding of SaaS business models, e-commerce platforms, and digital marketing fundamentals.
Demonstrated success building and scaling strategic partnerships that deliver measurable business results.
Excellent strategic planning, negotiation, and executive-level communication skills.
Experience working cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, and Sales teams in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in using analytics and performance data to guide decisions and optimize outcomes.
Willingness and ability to travel regularly as part of the role.
