Senior Facilities Infrastructure Engineer (Mojave)Department: Assembly, Integration & TestEmployment Type: Full TimeLocation: MojaveCompensation: $140,000 - $180,000 / yearDescriptionAs the Senior Facilities Infrastructure Engineer (Mojave) at Impulse Space, you will lead the build-out and activation of a new site in the Mojave Desert. This role is hands-on and execution-focused: you'll take a facility from bare ground → operational aerospace site, working across construction, infrastructure, and utilities.ResponsibilitiesManage major capital projects and infrastructure improvements at the Mojave Test Facility, including MEP systems, utilities, structural upgrades, and facilities for specialized aerospace test infrastructureCoordinate with architects, MEP, civil and structural engineers, and contractors to translate design into realityManage construction schedules, sequencing, and on-site activity, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budgetOversee contractors and infrastructure work on-siteServe as the primary liaison for the local AHJ authorities, landlord, and construction agencies, ensuring alignment with zoning, permitting, and environmental standardsInteract with leaders and executives to deliver project updates and statusesOwn construction budgets and bidding for large CAPEX projectsEnsure quality, safety, and compliance across projects and on all phases of constructionMinimum QualificationsBachelors degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Structural, Construction Engineering or equivalent experience5+ years of progressive experience in Construction, Project Management or equivalentDemonstrated understanding of Civil, Structural, MEP systems and new greenfield site developmentsDemonstrated experience managing contractors and driving construction execution on-sitePreferred Skills and Experience5+ years of demonstrated experience with Aerospace, Test Stands, Launch Infrastructure, or similar systemsExperience managing multi-disciplinary scopes within A/E and 3rd party engineering design firmsExperience working with codes and jurisdictions and building strong relationships with external partners and AHJsAbility to interact with leaders and executives on project status and needLicensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) preferred, but not requiredBackground working in remote or logistically complex locationsFamiliarity with high-risk systems (pressurized systems, fuels, high voltage)Ability to balance speed with safety in a fast-moving environmentAdditional Information:Compensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities and internal equity.
