Sr Manager, Financial Strategy & Operations
The Senior Manager for Global Conference Financial Strategy & Operations will support the Conference Production teams by managing the process and templates associated with monthly expense forecasting for over 200+ conferences. The associate will also evaluate trends of Gartner conferences in order to better plan for future events. A qualified candidate must be process driven, analytical, have the ability to multi-task and take pride in their work while being able to work in a fast-paced, self-directed, and collaborative environment.What You Will Do:Oversee the transition of budgets from Smartsheet to SharePointManagement of monthly financial forecast, assessing P&L to maintain global profit margins while guiding team on maximizing conference financials.Implementation of budget processes and templates for global team including annual budget creation, regular reporting and year-end closing of expense budget.Definition and guidance of strategic budget priorities, setting actions and timelines, coordinating internal meetings and acting as a point person for conference managers and planners.Creation of projection tools and analysis of key conference metrics to help grow and develop the conference portfolio.Presentation of accurate, consistent and actionable analysis and reports.Management of training sessions and creation of manuals to implement globally streamlined budgeting processes to help align this portfolio with other Gartner Conferences.Cross-functional collaboration with multiple business units including Finance, Accounting, Procurement, Marketing, Sales, and Research.Travel onsite approximately 10% to conferencesWhat You Will Need:7+ years finance and/or conference experienceProven budgeting and financial controls skillsProject management experienceAdvanced Excel skills, comfortable in complex spreadsheetsCommunications and public relations skillsBachelor's Degree preferred#conferences#LI-BO2#LI-hybridWho are we? Join us.Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 81,000 USD - 122,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan.
