PIZZA COOK
Position Title: Pizza Cook
Position is: Full Time 35+ or Part Time 26+
Starting Pay: $16.50 or Negotiable
Reports To: Executive Chef, Sous Chef, Lead Cooks
Position Summary:
We are looking for a trainable Pizza Cook to prepare food to the chef’s specifications and to set up stations for the execution of the restaurant menu. Pizza cook duties will mostly consist of assisting the executive and sous chef in their daily tasks. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and kitchen goals.
Pizza Cook Duties and Responsibilities:
Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions.
Cooking menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies.
Bring creative ideas and share with the Exec and Sous Chef
Prepare food for service (e.g., chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff.
Clean up the station and take care of leftover food.
Stock inventory appropriately
Ensure that food is prepared with high quality and in a timely fashion.
Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
Possesses excellent critical thinking and time management skills.
Ability to operate industrial machinery and carry loads up to 50 lbs.
Willingness to work in hot, humid environment and on be your feet for an extended period of time.
Follow and complete tasks as assigned via Executive Chef/ Sous Chef/ Lead Cook
Possessed skills/ documentation but not required.
Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook.
Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks.
Familiar with industry’s best practices
Culinary school diploma
