Fully vested after 3 years of serviceOpportunities for career growth and developmentWe are hiring dependable and safety-focused Ready Mix Concrete Driver to join our team at our brand new concrete plant in Prospect Hill, NC (Close proximity to Burlington, Hillsborough, Mebane area). The ideal candidate will operate a concrete mixer truck with either a manual or automatic transmission to safely transport and deliver ready-mix concrete to commercial, residential, industrial, and construction job sites.This position is ideal for new and experienced CDL truck drivers, construction drivers, or candidates with experience operating specialized heavy equipment such as concrete mixers, roll-off trucks, dump trucks, sanitation trucks, garbage trucks, recycling trucks, or other top-heavy commercial vehicles.The successful candidate must demonstrate strong customer service skills, safe driving practices, time management, and the ability to work in demanding environments and changing weather conditions.Key ResponsibilitiesSafely operate a ready-mix concrete truck in compliance with all DOT regulations, OSHA standards, company safety policies, and traffic lawsDeliver concrete to construction job sites while maintaining product quality and delivery schedulesProperly mix concrete materials including cement, sand, crushed stone, water, and additivesRead and follow delivery tickets, route instructions, mix specifications, and jobsite requirementsInspect truck equipment before, during, and after shifts to ensure safe operationCommunicate professionally with dispatchers, plant personnel, contractors, customers, and construction crewsManeuver and position truck safely at loading areas and job sitesMaintain accurate delivery records and comply with all company proceduresPerform general housekeeping and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environmentWork safely in high-traffic construction zones, uneven terrain, and various weather conditionsDemonstrate flexibility with scheduling, including overtime, early mornings, evenings, weekends, and night shiftsQualifications & RequirementsValid Class A CDL or Class B CDL requiredMust past MVR check and have commitment to safe driving practicesAbility to obtain and maintain a DOT Medical CardAbility to pass a pre-employment physical and Job Ready Services screeningExperience operating heavy-duty commercial vehicles preferredPrevious experience in:Ready-mix concrete deliveryConstruction truckingDump trucksRoll-off trucksVacuum trucksSanitation or waste management vehiclesHeavy equipment operationKnowledge of DOT regulations, vehicle inspections, and construction site safetyAbility to work long shifts, overtime, and flexible schedules based on customer demandAbility to lift, climb, bend, and work outdoors in varying temperatures and conditionsEducation and/or Experience:High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required; Minimum (1) one of related experience and/or training preferred.
