Lead CNC Machinist

Job Description Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Lead CNC Machinist to join our dynamic team in Columbus, IN, 47201. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in overseeing CNC machining operations, ensuring high-quality production, and leading a team of machinists. If you have a passion for precision engineering and a knack for leadership, we want to hear from you!Responsibilities Lead and mentor a team of CNC machinists to achieve production goals and maintain quality standards.Set up and operate CNC machines, including lathes and mills, to produce precision parts.Develop and optimize CNC programs for efficiency and accuracy.Conduct regular inspections of finished products to ensure they meet specifications.Collaborate with engineering and design teams to improve machining processes and product designs.Maintain equipment and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.Train new employees on CNC operations and safety protocols.Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in machining preferred.5+ years of experience in CNC machining, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.Strong understanding of CNC programming languages (e.g., G-code, M-code).Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Commitment to safety and quality in all aspects of work.Must be willing to work OT.
