Assistant Track Coach - Middle School
Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as an Assistant Track Coach for our Middle School program. This is a seasonal position located at White Pine Middle School. The ideal candidate will have experience working with middle school students and a passion for coaching and developing young athletes.
Responsibilities:
Assist the Head Coach in planning and leading practices and meets
Work with individual athletes to improve their skills and technique
Help create a positive and supportive team environment
Attend all scheduled practices and meets
Assist with equipment setup and maintenance
Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and other coaches
Ensure the safety and well-being of all athletes
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required.
CAP1 Class (through the MHSAA) preferred.
Previous coaching experience, preferably at the middle school level
Knowledge of track and field events and rules
Ability to work well with middle school students and create a positive team culture
Strong communication and organizational skills
Availability to attend all scheduled practices and meets
First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
Background check and fingerprinting clearance
