BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Solutions Engineer IIJob Title: Solutions Engineer IILocation: 401 N TRYON ST, Charlotte, NC 28255 (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)Duration: 12-Month ContractAbout the RoleWe are looking for a Solutions Engineer II who enjoys building the engine behind modern applications. This role is ideal for someone who likes designing scalable systems, connecting services, and working with backend and cloud technologies.You will not just be writing code. You will be designing how systems communicate, scale, and perform in real-world environments.ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop microservices and REST APIs using Java and SpringBuild integrations using Spring Boot and Spring IntegrationImplement event-driven and messaging solutions such as Kafka and JMSDevelop reusable frameworks, templates, and integration componentsDeploy and manage applications in Docker and Kubernetes environmentsCollaborate with DevOps teams to support CI/CD pipelines and automationEnsure code quality through unit and integration testingOptimize applications for performance, scalability, and reliabilityParticipate in design discussions and contribute to architecture decisionsMentor junior developers and support team growthRequired Qualifications5+ years of experience in Java development with Spring BootExperience with microservices architectureStrong understanding of system integrations and messaging frameworksExperience with tools like Kafka, JMS, or similar technologiesWorking knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud environmentsFamiliarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitHubExperience with testing frameworks like JUnit and MockitoStrong problem-solving and communication skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience with Spring Integration or Enterprise Integration PatternsExposure to API gateways such as Spring Cloud Gateway or APIMExperience with logging, monitoring, and observability toolsPrior experience migrating from MuleSoft or other ESB platformsBenefits:We offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance to support employees' health and well-being.
