Compaq Technical Engineer

As an Authorized Compaq Reseller and Service Center, we maintain very high standards in our service department. Complete knowledge of the entire range of Compaq products is a must, including the Netelligent line. File servers are a large part of our business, and we frequently configure new servers in our office before shipping. Warranty repairs on all Compaq products is performed at our location, and this position will require Compaq certification. The successful candidate will have experience with networking operating systems, preferably NetWare and Windows NT. Must have at least 5 years of direct interaction with personal computer hardware and at least 3 years of direct experience troubleshooting all manner of problems with the entire Compaq product line. Compaq certification is desired, and must be achieved within 30 days of hire. Much work is done in our office, but field work and overnight travel up to three days is a real possibility and should be expected.
