About The Role:
Quora is seeking an iOS Engineer to help build and improve Poe, an innovative platform that brings leading AI models together in one place. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain the Poe iOS app, contributing to the mobile experience used by a global audience. You will work closely with product partners to develop new AI-driven user features and help turn product ideas into clear, reliable, and intuitive experiences. The work involves building for a fast-moving product area where AI capabilities and user expectations continue to evolve. You will contribute across the development process, from understanding requirements and evaluating implementation approaches to delivering and refining features in the app.
Qualifications:
Professional experience developing applications for iOS.Strong programming and software engineering fundamentals, with the ability to write maintainable and dependable code.
Experience building user-facing mobile features and attention to usability, quality, and performance.
Ability to collaborate effectively with product and engineering partners to shape and deliver features.
Sound judgment when evaluating technical approaches and solving problems in a changing product environment.
Clear communication skills and a willingness to share ideas, receive feedback, and learn from teammates.
Interest in AI products and in creating mobile experiences that help people explore and use AI models.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, test, and maintain features for the Poe iOS application.
Partner with the product team to build AI-driven experiences that meet user needs and support Poe’s goals.
Translate product requirements and design concepts into thoughtful, responsive mobile experiences.
Help ensure the app is reliable and maintainable as Poe’s features and supported AI models evolve.
Identify implementation challenges, assess potential solutions, and contribute to sound technical decisions.
Collaborate with colleagues through planning, development, review, and iteration.
Use feedback and experimentation to refine features and improve the experience for Poe users.
