Business Intelligence ConsultantRole SummaryThe Business Intelligence Consultant – Strategy,Enablement & Governance is responsible for ensuring that businessintelligence is defined correctly, adopted consistently, governed effectively,and used to run the business.This role owns the "why" and the "so what" of BI translatingbusiness objectives into clear KPI frameworks, operating cadences, andgovernance models that enable leaders to make decisions and drive execution. This role partners closely with BI Engineering & Data Foundations to ensureinsights are trusted, actionable, and embedded into daily operations.It is a strategic translator, orchestrator, and enabler of arepeatable management system.Key ResponsibilitiesBI Strategy & Insight DefinitionTranslate business objectives into clear, actionable KPI frameworks aligned to leadership prioritiesDefine success measures, decision thresholds, and escalation pathsEnsure metrics answer meaningful business questions, not just reporting requestsEnablement & AdoptionDrive adoption of BI tools, dashboards, and insights across leadership and operational teamsDesign and facilitate operating cadences (performance reviews, business reviews, huddles) that embed data into how the business runsBuild and maintain enablement hubs (e.g., SharePoint) with playbooks, definitions, and training resourcesGovernance & StandardsOwn BI governance, including:Metric definitions and alignmentUsage standardsChange control and decision rightsPartner with BI Engineering to validate requirements, confirm delivery meets intent, and enforce governancePrevent metric drift, rework, and "whose number is right" debatesStakeholder PartnershipServe as the primary BI partner to leadership and key stakeholdersLead structured requirements gathering and prioritizationNavigate ambiguity while maintaining alignment to strategy and standardsContinuous ImprovementEvaluate effectiveness of BI usage and decision-makingIdentify gaps in adoption, understanding, or executionContinuously refine frameworks, cadences, and governance modelsHow This Role Works with BI EngineeringThis role operates in a co-ownership handshake model:Strategy, Enablement & Governance owns:Business problem definitionKPI intent and usageAdoption, governance, and operating rhythmsEngineering & Data Foundations owns:Technical design and implementationData models, pipelines, and performanceCollaboration occurs at:Requirements translationDelivery validationGovernance enforcementSkills & ExperienceExperience in BI, performance management, analytics enablement, or related fieldsStrong systems thinking and ability to translate strategy into measurable outcomesExcellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skillsComfort operating in ambiguity and influencing without direct authorityFamiliarity with BI platforms (e.g., Power BI) sufficient to partner effectively with technical teamsSuccess Looks LikeLeaders trust and use BI to make decisionsDashboards are actively adopted, not ignoredMetrics are consistent across teamsBI supports a repeatable management system, not heroicsCBREEmployee BenefitsComprehensive medical, dental, visionDisability benefit program401k company matchingPaid time off and holidaysCompany paid life insurancePet insurancePaid parental leaveWhy CBRE?We invest inour employees' development. The minimum salary for this position is $120,000 annually and the maximum salary for this position is $135,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
