Senior Network Support Engineer

Location: Champaign, Illinois, United StatesJob Type: Contract / Freelance (On-site)About Role:Tech Domain is seeking an experienced L2 Network Engineer to provide on-site technical support for networking infrastructure in Champaign, Illinois. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with enterprise networking equipment and be capable of independently performing installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance activities.Responsibilities:Install, configure, and troubleshoot network devices.Perform hardware installation, replacement, and rack & stack activities.Diagnose and resolve Layer 2 network connectivity issues.Support routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless network devices.Perform cable connectivity checks and hardware testing.Coordinate with remote technical teams during on-site interventions.Document completed work and provide service reports.Required Skills:Proven experience as an L2 Network Engineer or Network Support Engineer.Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, switching, routing, and network troubleshooting.Experience with enterprise networking equipment (Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, HPE, Fortinet, or similar).Ability to work independently on customer sites.Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
