You’ll help create a positive and seamless experience for every team member — ensuring they feel valued, supported, and heardLocation: Anacortes, WA/ OnsiteSchedule: Per Diem / DaysSalary Range: $32.53 – $48.78 per hourThe Clinical Dietician plans and directs preparation and service of diets prescribed by the physician.What You Will Be DoingConsults medical, nursing, and social service staffs concerning problems affecting patients' food habits and needs.Formulates menus for therapeutic diets based on indicated physiological and psychological needs of patients and integrates them with basic institutional menus.Evaluates nutritional adequacy of patients' menus.Inspects meals served for conformance to prescribed diet and standards of palatability and appearance.Instructs individuals and families on nutritional principles, dietary plans, food selection and preparation.Plans, organizes and conducts educational programs for dietary staff, nurses, physicians, patients and community.Reviews medical diet orders.Maintains current diet manual.What You Will Bring To The RoleCurrent ADA Dietetic RegistrationCurrent Dietician License issued by WA stateMust maintain current Food Handler’s Permit issued by WA stateMinimum of 2 years’ experience as a clinical or therapeutic dietician in a hospital setting.Can demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and can identify each employee’s and patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to show compassion and understanding necessary for working with people of varying backgrounds.Make a Difference with UsAt Island Health, every role contributes to our mission of compassionate, high-quality care.
