In this role, you'll be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of backup generators, heavy equipment, and related electrical systems. The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to safety and customer service.What You'll DoPerform preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel/gas-powered standby generators and heavy equipmentDiagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues on generator systemsService and repair Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS), including bypass isolation and closed transition typesConduct load bank testing, start-up, and commissioning of new installationsTroubleshoot AC/DC circuits, read wiring diagrams, and replace electrical componentsPerform mechanical diagnostics (ignition systems, injection systems, valve adjustments)Complete warranty work per manufacturer guidelinesDocument work using Windows-based software, including job reports and photosCollaborate with other technicians on complex service callsMaintain safety standards and site complianceWhat We're Looking ForExperience in generator maintenance, service, or installationMechanical/electrical certification or proven repair experience preferredStrong troubleshooting skills in electrical and mechanical systemsAbility to read technical manuals, datasheets, and schematicsExcellent communication skills (written & verbal)Valid U.S. driver's license; ability to operate a service truck/van (with or without trailer)Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, work at heights, and handle outdoor conditionsComfortable with tablets/digital platforms for service loggingOwns basic hand tools (specialty tools provided)Must be willing to relocate to ColoradoPerks & BenefitsPaid training and ongoing educationComprehensive benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance401(k) with company matchPaid Time Off (PTO) + holidaysCompany vehicle and specialty tools providedOvertime/weekend work during emergencies (e.g., storm response)From $30-65/hour
