RF Test Systems Engineer II – Test Software

Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world.This position is 100% on site in McKinney, TXWhat You Will Do:Work with hardware, software, and program engineers to design and develop test software solutions for production testingImplement system software engineering best practices in planning, development, and execution of scope, schedule, and budgetImplement best practice standards regarding the planning, coordination, and execution of design activities with sound engineering process discipline and leadershipEffectively communicate technical information in formal design review settingsProvide hands-on support to product testing within an engineering test environmentShare knowledge and provide mentoring to other engineers on the teamSupport the Section Manager in the execution of the RF Technologies department goalsQualifications You Must Have:Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior experienceExperience successfully developing and deploying test software solutions in C#, CVI, C, and/or C++, with experience in using code review tools and Microsoft Office applicationsExperience automating RF test equipment control (e.g. vector network analyzers, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, etc.)Experience creating test plans and sequences for RF measurements using NI Test SuiteThe ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.Qualifications We Prefer:Critical thinking, problem-solving and analytical skillsExperience in executing projects through the software development life cycle, while managing budgets and timelines for their projectsExperience with various programming languages, operating systems, system monitoring tools, and communication protocolsSupporting a production test environment with critical troubleshooting skillsStrong collaboration skills, with proven record of working in cross-functional teamsStrong communication skills to report status to program management and functional leadershipHands-on experience with Atlassian suite of tools (Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence, Sourcetree, etc.)Hands-on experience with lab instrumentsThe salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
