Linde Gas & Equipment IncPlant Maintenance TechnicianLocation: Hillside, ILThe Plant Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the overall maintenance of mechanical equipment & mechanical systems.What we offer you!Competitive compensationComprehensive benefit plan (medical, dental, vision and more)401(k) retirement savings planPaid time off (vacation, holidays, PTO)Employee discount programsCareer growth opportunitiesAdditional compensation may vary depending on the position and organizational levelPay range: $22.91 - $30.55 hourly (depending on experience)What you will be doing (1st shift: 7:00AM - 4:00PM):Coordinates and performs preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment and mechanical systemsSchedules and coordinates repair, modification and preventive maintenance operationsAssists in the development and review of standard operating proceduresParticipates in HAZOPs and FMEAsLocation liaison with corporate process safety groupOversees and/or performs new equipment installationsUtilizes hand and portable power tools and follows safe working practices through all steps of equipment repair and maintenanceMay provide advice to management regarding equipment life and usage and in researching new equipment purchasesEnsures operations technicians understand and follow safe working practices through all steps of equipment repair and maintenanceCoordinates and oversees the movement of materials and equipment as requiredParticipates in Sixth Sigma ProjectsOther duties as definedWhat makes you great:Bachelor of Science strongly preferred; high school diploma/GED required3 - 5 years of equipment maintenance experience in chemical manufacturing setting preferredKnowledgeable in OSHA Process Safety Management Program elements including Mechanical Integrity, Management of Change, Operating Procedure ElementsKnowledge of welding techniquesKnowledge of high-pressure piping systemsKnowledge of cryogenic pumps and systemsBasic Knowledge of electrical troubleshooting and repairsComputer skills including Microsoft applications Why you will enjoy working with usLinde is a leading global industrial gases and engineering company with 2025 sales of $34 billion.
