They prioritize people, safety, and trust—building strong relationships while powering a better future.Position SummaryThe Director, Rate & Revenue position is responsible for managing the rate mechanisms and cost of service through which the company recovers costs, sets customer prices, and ensures regulatory compliance. This role will oversee developing and implementing cost recovery mechanisms and regulatory strategy initiatives. Responsibilities also include proposing solutions to key business issues, when necessary, and making oral and written testimony and support to federal and state regulatory agencies. This position will oversee and develop team members under his/her direction.What You'll Be Working OnRate Strategy Design: Develop and implement rate-making strategies (general rate cases, formula rates, infrastructure riders) that align with the company, regulatory and customer needs.Revenue Requirements Modeling: Determine the necessary revenue needed to cover costs and earn a fair return, including conducting cost-of-service studies.Reporting: Prepare and present comprehensive regulatory and revenue reports and forecasts to senior management and stakeholders.Regulatory Proceedings: Lead the development of testimony, exhibits, and discovery responses for state public utility commissions (PUCs) or other regulatory bodies.Financial Forecasting & Analysis: Forecast, budget, and monitor rates and regulatory activities; perform sensitivity analyses of revenues to load forecasting errors.Tariff Administration: Oversee the development, filing, and maintenance of company tariff programs.Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal departments (finance, legal, operations) and represent the utility with external stakeholders, including regulators and intervenors.Team Leadership: Direct and develop staff specialized in regulatory analysis, rate design and revenue modeling.Deep understanding of revenue management techniques, pricing strategies, forecasting, cost-of-service regulation, FERC operations, and state-specific regulatory/legislative processes.Who You AreBachelor of Science in finance, accounting, economics, business or other related fieldHigh organization skillsTen (10) years of experience in utility finance, rate design or regulatory strategy with a minimum of five (5) years in a leadership roleExpert proficiency in financial modeling and data analysisAdvanced skills in MS Excel, proficiency in MS Word, and PowerPointExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to develop and maintain strong relationshipsExcellent leadership and team management abilities with the capacity to motivate and guide a team to deliver resultsRegular Driver’s LicenseBenefits/what’s in it for you?Flexible work arrangementCompetitive base salaryFantastic opportunities for career growthCooperative, supportive and empowered team atmosphereAnnual bonus and salary increase opportunitiesMonthly recognition eventsEndless wellness initiatives and community eventsRobust and customizable benefit packages-choose what works best with your life.
