We are seeking a talented Printing Process Engineer to join our dynamic team and help us achieve our vision. Job Overview: The Printing Process Engineer will be responsible for solving process challenges with solution printing of thin film semiconductor material(s). This role involves ensuring the optimal performance, reliability, and efficiency of materials produced using slot die and other solution deposition processes in Caelux’s development roadmap. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fluid mechanics, heat and mass transfer, thermodynamics, and experience with industrial printing processes to produce highly uniform films. Key Responsibilities: · Process Development: Develop, implement, and optimize solution printing processes to enhance product quality and yield, ensuring alignment with customer specifications and industry standards. Scope includes both R&D-scale and production-scale equipment and includes translation of processes from lab to fab. · Direct equipment engineers’ efforts: for maintenance, calibration, and optimization of manufacturing tools and metrology equipment. · Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve equipment and process issues, providing timely solutions to minimize downtime. · Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, production, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless integration and scale-up of processes into manufacturing. · Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of processes, equipment settings, and troubleshooting procedures, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards. · Training and Support: Provide training and technical support to operators and technicians on equipment and processes. · Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives for process improvements, equipment upgrades, and new technology implementation to enhance efficiency and performance. · Metrology Oversight: Oversee the calibration and maintenance of metrology tools used for measuring thin film properties, ensuring accurate and reliable data. Qualifications: · Education: Master’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, or a related field. · Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in printing, coating or similar solution-deposition technologies. · Technical Skills: Proficient in the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of solution-deposition equipment. Familiarity with metrology tools and techniques for thin film measurement. · Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions. Uses design of experiments (DOE) methods and statistical hypothesis testing to develop process windows. Knows gauge repeatability and reproducibility (GR&R) methods. Understand fundamentals of statistical process control. · Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments. · Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
