Senior Enterprise Architect

We are seeking a Senior Enterprise Architect to join a high-impact Architecture, Engineering, and Product organization supporting executive leadership and enterprise-wide technology strategy. This individual will play a critical role in shaping the organization’s hybrid and multi-cloud architecture vision while driving modernization, scalability, resiliency, and governance initiatives across the enterprise.This is a contract-to-hire opportunity, and candidates must be able to commute to Wilmington, DE.ResponsibilitiesLead the design and evolution of enterprise and hybrid cloud architecture strategies across Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud Platform environmentsDefine architecture standards, guardrails, and best practices that enable secure, scalable, and highly available platformsPartner closely with Architecture, Engineering, Product, and executive leadership teams to align technology strategy with business objectivesDrive initiatives focused on resiliency, observability, performance optimization, security, and operational excellenceProvide architectural oversight for distributed systems, cloud-native platforms, and enterprise modernization effortsEvaluate and recommend emerging technologies, frameworks, and architecture patternsEstablish governance models and architectural review processes to ensure consistency across enterprise initiativesSupport FinOps initiatives by optimizing cloud consumption, cost visibility, and operational efficiencyMentor technical teams and influence enterprise-wide architecture direction and decision-makingContribute to long-term roadmap planning and strategic technology transformation effortsRequired QualificationsExtensive experience designing and supporting hybrid and multi-cloud architecturesStrong expertise with Microsoft Azure (preferred), AWS, and Google Cloud PlatformDeep understanding of distributed systems and enterprise-scale infrastructureExperience driving initiatives related to security, resiliency, availability, observability, and performance engineeringStrong knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF and SABSAExperience with enterprise architecture tools such as ABACUS or similar platformsProven ability to collaborate with executive leadership and influence enterprise technology strategyExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience within highly regulated or enterprise-scale environmentsBackground supporting cloud transformation and modernization initiativesFamiliarity with DevOps, platform engineering, and cloud governance practicesExperience building architecture standards for large engineering organizations
