Position - ControllerLocation - Knoxville Metropolitan AreaWork Mode - On-SiteAbout The JobWe are looking for a Controller to join our growing team at our Jaguar Maserati Alfa Romeo dealership! The right candidate will have previous automotive Controller experience and strong analytical ability. The day-to-day duties of this role include preparing monthly budgets, reviewing financial statements and ledgers, and other accounting duties. This is inclusive of three franchise financial statements and three franchises/chart of accounts.ResponsibilitiesManage the financial and accounting system and personnelRun daily operations of the accounting department, cashiers and receptionsDesign, establish, and maintain an organizational structure and staffingReconcile the bank accounts for the dealership every single dayComplete all required reports for the corporate office on a regular basisPrepare monthly budgets and financial statementsForecast financial goals for each quarter to maintain the dealership's profitabilityProcess all insurance claims and liability insuranceReview all financial statements and ledgers, and work with the accounting staff to clear up any discrepanciesPrepare all taxes and filing forms with the governmentMeet with the department managers to regularly review business matters and develop plans to increase profitabilityEnsure all HR and payroll functions are operational and work reciprocally to handle employee issues as neededCross-train and manage all accounting positions within the storeQualifications:2-5 years of previous automotive accounting/controller experience recommendedPrevious automotive dealership experience recommendedStrong communications, customer service, leadership and problem solving skillsExcellent analytical abilityHigh school diploma is necessary; college or advanced degree preferredProficiency with payroll software and Microsoft Office applications or the equivalentBenefitsMedical, Dental, and Vision Insurance401(k) Plan match up to 1k per yearShort & Long Term DisabilityEmployer Paid Life InsurancePaid HolidaysPaid VacationPaid Sick TimePaid BirthdaysPaid TrainingOpportunities for AdvancementOff weekendsHealthy Work/Life Balance
