HVAC Service Technician

Job Description About the Role:As an HVAC Selling Technician at Legendary Home Services, you are more than a technician. You are a trusted home comfort advisor. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain residential HVAC systems while identifying opportunities to improve safety, efficiency, and comfort for our customers.This role is ideal for a technician who enjoys both solving technical problems and educating homeowners on their options. You will be responsible for delivering exceptional service and generating revenue through honest recommendations, system upgrades, IAQ improvements, and replacement opportunities.This is not a high pressure sales position. It is a consultative role built on integrity, transparency, and long term customer relationships.Key Responsibilities:Expert Service & Diagnostics: Perform maintenance, service, and repair of residential heating and cooling systems with precision and professionalismDiagnose system issues using advanced troubleshooting methods and recommend appropriate repair or replacement solutions.Consultative Selling: Educate homeowners on repair versus replacement optionsPresent good, better, best solutions for system upgrades, IAQ products, accessories, and system improvementsIdentify aging equipment and create replacement leads when appropriateBuild value after discussing pricing and confidently present financing optionsProactive Maintenance: Conduct thorough inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal system performance and catch potential problems after they become costly emergencies.Revenue & Performance: Meet or exceed average ticket and conversion benchmarksGenerate replacement opportunities through proper system evaluationRecommend maintenance plans and memberships to improve customer retentionCustomer Experience: Communicate clearly and confidently with homeownersBuild trust through transparency and professionalismDeliver Legendary level service that results in 5 star reviews and repeat customersDocumentation & Process: Accurately document service notes, photos, recommendations, and estimates in Service TitanFollow company pricing structure and task timesEnsure all paperwork, financing applications, and digital signatures are completed properlyContinuous Growth: Participate in sales training, ride along coaching, and technical education.Stay up to date on product knowledge, rebates, financing programs, and industry advancementsQualifications:High school diploma or equivalentProven experience as a Residential HVAC Service Technician or similar roleValid HVAC technician license/certification (EPA certification required)Strong technical aptitude with demonstrated proficiency in diagnosing and repairing residential HVAC systems across multiple brandsComprehensive knowledge of HVAC codes, regulations, and safety standardsExcellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressureOutstanding customer service abilities with clear, professional communicationSelf-motivated with the ability to work independently and efficiently manage your schedulePhysical capability to lift 50+ lbs, work in various weather conditions, and access confined spacesValid driver&#39;s license with a clean driving recordAbility to pass background check and drug screeningInterpersonal Qualifications:Customer-First Mindset: Genuine passion for helping homeowners with excellent relationship-building skillsProblem-Solver Extraordinaire: Creative, solution-oriented thinking to tackle challenges both big and smallOrganized & Detail-Oriented: Ability to prioritize effectively while maintaining meticulous attention to qualityHigh Integrity: You hold yourself accountable and do the right thing, even when no one is watchingTeam Player: Collaborative spirit with a positive attitude that lifts others upWhy You'll Want to Work Here:At Legendary Home Services, we don&#39;t just talk the talk—we live our values every day.
