Our application engineering teams build secure, cloud-native software and AI-enabled solutions supporting public health data and analytics missions.About the roleJRSS built the enterprise data and analytics platform for a federal public health agency. We are hiring a Full Stack Engineer to build secure, scalable applications, cloud-native services, workflow automation and AI-enabled solutions on top of it.Day to day you will write Python automation and pipeline scripts, build UI/UX-driven web portals, integrate cloud services across Azure and AWS, and apply agentic AI patterns such as intelligent agents and LLM-powered automation. You will partner with architects, product owners, data engineers and federal client teams.ResponsibilitiesDevelop secure, scalable full-stack and cloud-native applications using Angular, TypeScript, C#/.NET, Python and modern UI/UX patterns in Agile environments.Build automation solutions including Python workflow scripts, testing frameworks, pipelines, integrations and orchestration.Design, deploy and operate Azure and AWS environments, distributed systems, microservices, APIs and event-driven data integrations using Cosmos DB, Synapse and Service Bus / Event Grid.Create responsive web portals and integrate Posit/Streamlit applications, chatbots and agentic AI workflows leveraging LLMs and AI Gateway.Build and maintain CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions, implement Docker-based containerization, and follow DevSecOps and security/IAM best practices.Implement monitoring, logging and alerting, and troubleshoot reliability and performance issues across distributed cloud systems.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, combining technical depth with a customer-service mindset.Required qualifications5+ years of hands-on front-end engineering experience using Angular, TypeScript and HTML/CSS.Experience with AI agents, autonomous workflows and LLM-based tooling such as Copilot, Codex or Claude, and orchestrated agent patterns.Experience building APIs, microservices, event-driven architectures and modern web portal and UI/UX solutions.Experience with C#/.NET Core and Python for backend, automation and full-stack development.Experience with workflow automation, pipelines, scripting and DevSecOps practices.Cloud engineering expertise across Azure as the primary platform and AWS as secondary, including cloud-native architectures and security fundamentals.Knowledge of Docker containerization, distributed systems troubleshooting, and data platforms including Cosmos DB, PostgreSQL, SQL Server and Synapse.Strong communication and collaboration skills.Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. federal Public Trust / Suitability determination based on client requirements.Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship, now or in the future.Preferred qualificationsExperience supporting federal public health programs.Experience with generative AI and agent frameworks such as LangChain and PydanticAI.Experience with Kubernetes/AKS for container orchestration in cloud environments.Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform and Bicep.Experience implementing zero-trust architecture.Experience integrating Posit/Streamlit-based applications into cloud platforms.Knowledge of observability tooling and cloud performance optimization practices.Knowledge of agentic AI solution design and orchestrated AI workflows, including event-driven systems such as Service Bus, Event Hub and Kafka.Where you will workThis role is remote within the United States, working core Eastern business hours.
