The Senior Design Engineer will work closely with cross‑functional partners while remaining deeply hands‑on in design, analysis, and problem resolutionWork Mode: Hybrid-3 days in officeLocation: Mosel facility at N7650 County Rd LS, Sheboygan, WI, 53083Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring new or transfer visa sponsorship now or in the future.ResponsibilitiesLead the mechanical and CAD design of custom enclosures, tanks, and accessories for industrial generatorOwn designs from initial customer requirements through engineering release, fabrication, and production supportCreate and maintain complex parametric models, assemblies, drawings, and specifications using CreoDelegate and guide CAD Design Analysts and remote engineering resourcesPartner closely with:Sales and Application Engineering to translate customer requirements into engineered solutionsPlatform Lead and Product Management to release product enhancementsManufacturing, fabrication, and assembly teams to ensure production readinessPurchasing to ensure accurate component selection and on time procurementEvaluate materials, components, and design approaches to balance performance, quality, manufacturability, and costIdentify risks, propose solutions, and make data driven engineering decisionsSupport and participate in continuous improvement initiatives that streamline custom order and engineering processesOccasionally interface with customers and global engineering teamsThis is a role for an engineer who sees the problem, owns the problem, and solves the problem—from concept through execution.You WillTackle complex, ambiguous design challenges where requirements evolve and trade offs matterDiagnose and resolve real production issues involving sheet metal, weldments, fit up, sealing, vibration, and thermal performanceInvestigate non conformances and field issues, determine root cause, and implement corrective design actionsDevelop practical solutions that work on the shop floor—not just in CADBalance speed, cost, quality, and performance while maintaining engineering rigorTake ownership when issues arise and drive them to resolution, coordinating across engineering, manufacturing, and suppliersRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (BSME) from an ABET accredited program plus 5+ years of mechanical engineering experienceHands on Creo CAD modeling experience (required)Experience designing industrial or engineered productsAbility to independently manage multiple concurrent engineering projectsStrong written and verbal communication skillsProven ability to collaborate in a cross-functional, global engineering environmentPreferred QualificationsExperience with generator sets, power generation, or industrial engine systemsKnowledge of sheetmetal, welding, and bondingExperience using Windchill or similar PLM systemsFamiliarity with manufacturing processes, fabrication, and assemblyProject leadership or technical lead experienceExposure to regulatory or standards driven environmentsWork Mode: Hybrid-3 days in officeLocation: Mosel facility at N7650 County Rd LS, Sheboygan, WI, 53083Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring new or transfer visa sponsorship now or in the future.The Salary range for this position is $89,800.00-$114,100.00.The specific Salary rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location.About UsRehlko proudly offers a rich history steeped in creativity and commitment to our associates and communities, along with competitive benefits and compensation. Our Purpose—Creating an energy resilient world for a better future—and Values: Curiosity, Trust, Pace, and Excellence, are important cultural components that shape the way we work and relate to one another.
