In this role, you will ensure MultiCare patients and families have the best possible experience when visiting facilities across our health system.ResponsibilitiesYou will oversee the safe and efficient operations of the gas and electric boilers, HVAC, air compressors, pumps, emergency generators, and other auxiliary equipmentYou will oversee the safe and efficient operations of the hospital’s infrastructure, ensuring maintaining all regulatory complianceYou will monitor and assign work orders to ensure timely completion.You will perform tasks pertaining to the boiler room and steam distribution systemYou will perform rounds and inspections of machine rooms and roof areasRequirementsHigh school graduate or equivalent preferredMay require a City of Tacoma Engineer License II (or obtain license within 90 days of hire) depending on locationAccomplished in steam, HVAC, and basic electrical related to plant operations and maintenanceMinimum four (4) years of experience directly related to operations and maintenance of building mechanical and electrical systemsComputer and EMCS experience preferredValid Washington State driver's license and proof of a safe driving record (which meets established MHS Standards) obtained by a motor vehicle report from the appropriate stateAdditional Requirements For Allenmore Hospital IncludeWashington State Department of Ecology, UST Class A/B CertificationMedical gas ASSE 6040 certificationMinimum five (5) years of experience operating in a lead/supervisory capacityAdditional Requirements For Mary Bridge Children's Hospital IncludeCompletion of Vocational Trade/Tech certification program or Certificate of Licensure in the identified areasMedical gas ASSE 6040 certification obtained within 18 months of hire.City of Tacoma Engineer License Level IV or above required within 12 months of hireASHE Certified Health Care Physical Environment Worker required within 6 months of hire On-call (required)About Capital Medical CenterMultiCare Capital Medical Center is a 107-bed community hospital providing award-winning care to Olympia and surrounding communities. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $32.07 - $53.01 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education.
