Company: Micro Control CompanyJob Title: Senior Mechanical DrafterLocation: Fridley, MNAbout The RoleMicro Control Company is seeking a Senior Mechanical Drafter to join our growing Mechanical Engineering team and serve as a critical link between engineering design and manufacturing. In this hands-on role, you’ll take ownership of complex mechanical designs—partnering closely with engineers and operations to develop accurate CAD models, drawings, BOMs, and documentation that move products from concept to the production floor.What You’ll DoTranslate complex engineering requirements into detailed CAD models and complete drawingsCollaborate with engineers to review designs and resolve technical issuesCreate and maintain BOMs, technical documentation, and assembly drawingsSupport prototype builds, design verification, and engineering change ordersMaintain CAD standards and help manage parts and assemblies in the ERP systemProvide hands-on support to Operations during the build process What You BringAssociate’s degree in Engineering CAD Technology or equivalent experience5+ years of experience producing complex mechanical designs using 3D CAD toolsStrong working knowledge of GD&T and SolidWorksExperience with ERP systems and engineering change processesAbility to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Nice to HaveExposure to Printed Circuit Board (PCB) designs Experience with AutoCAD and other 3D design toolsWhy Join UsWe offer a competitive total rewards package and a collaborative environment where your expertise directly impacts real-world products—from initial design to production.
