DescriptionEmployer: AMAZON.COM SERVICES LLCOffered Position: Solutions Architect IIIJob Location: Seattle, WashingtonJob Number: AMZ10302806Position ResponsibilitiesAct as a technical liaison between customers, service engineering teams, and support.Analyze application portfolios, identify dependencies and common infrastructure platform components, and assess migration feasibility.Architect hybrid AWS and on‐premises solutions.Guide customers on architecture choices and inform them of best practices to adopt AWS efficiently and cost‐effectively.Ensure success in building, migrating, and deploying applications, software, and services on the AWS platform.Brief senior executive team on customer progress of adopting AWS and define future platform requirements for onboarding and migration to AWS.Author AWS customer‐facing publications such as whitepapers.Share best‐practice knowledge among the AWS solutions architect community.Engage with developers, system administrators, software architects, project managers, directors, and C‐level customers to define cloud strategies and deployments.Educate customers on the value proposition of AWS and ensure that solutions are designed for successful deployment on AWS.Position RequirementsMaster's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and one year of experience in the job offered or related occupations such as Database Administrator, Support Engineer, Systems Engineer, or similar.Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in the same fields with five years of progressive post‐baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation as equivalent to the Master's and one year of experience.Must have one year of experience in the following skill areas:Designing, implementing, and consulting with distributed applications.Architecting, provisioning, and deploying applications to public cloud environments or on‐premises virtualized environments using C++, Perl, Python, or Java.Experience with database architecture, performance tuning, and either Big Data or Hadoop.100% telecommuting permitted; work may be performed from anywhere in the U.S.Preferred QualificationsPlease see job description and the position requirements above.Compensation and Benefits40 hours / week, 8:00am‐5:00pmSalary Range: $153,600/year to $207,800/year.Amazon is a total compensation company.
