The Position
We are looking for positive, energetic, qualified Lead Instrument Technicians, System Turnover Technicians and Start-Up Technicians with a wide variety of abilities to complement our experienced workforce. Applicants should have the ability to:
Familiar with basic TDC Operations and TDC Terminology
Proficient in Trouble Shooting
Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) / Board Competent
Proficient in AIMS / GSAP / In-Tools or Equivalent
Calibrate, troubleshoot, repair, and replace process instruments as a part of the facility's maintenance program
Maintain process instruments including valves, vibration monitors and other instruments
Pressure test pneumatic instruments for leaks, pneumatic instruments with controllers, transducers, and valves in service
Perform troubleshooting on energized motor controls
Size thermal-overloads, breakers, and fuses
Conduct instrumentation evaluation and troubleshooting for electrical, pneumatic, electronic as well as programmable logic control (PLC) systems
Involve in evaluation of instrument performance to identify optimization and enhancement opportunities
Loop check electrical wiring for continuity and proper termination
Perform field calibration of electronic instruments with transmitters, controllers, transducers, valves, and recorders in service
Read, understand, correlate, and trouble-shoot from one-line schematics P & ID's, and ladder diagrams
Knowledgeable in the use of electrical equipment testers including V.O.M., AMP meter and 1000-volt insulation tester
Knowledgeable in communication and applicable electrical OSHA rules and regulations
Requirements
National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) Certified Plus or Industry Certification
20+ years craft-specific experience
IPF Certification
Lead Role / Supervisor Experience required

Ability to pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug/alcohol test and applicable background checks
Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
