Position SummaryThe Healey Families Initiative seeks to close the disengagement gap among the historically marginalized families by facilitating monthly parent support groups in Portuguese, Spanish, and Haitian Creole in order to support parents to feel empowered and to advocate for their children’s education.We are seeking teachers, caregivers, and community members to help support our work with Healey families.Essential Functions & ResponsibilitiesThe essential functions or responsibilities listed below are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment to the position.Manage HFI's programming: childcare, meeting agendas, funding and budget, etc.Lead bi-weekly team meetings at the Healey School or remotelyLead or surpervise monthly HFI Caregiver meetingsProvide outreach to families and make referrals to the HFI Qualifications, Knowledge, Abilities, & SkillsKnowledge of child developmentExperience working with marginalized familiesAbility to establish good working relationship with children, parents, and other staffBilingual preferredPhysical RequirementsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
