Job SummaryThe Lead Cabin Services oversees and participates in the cleaning and sanitization of aircraft interiors, ensuring compliance with airline and safety regulations. This role involves coordinating a team, assigning tasks, conducting quality inspections, and maintaining efficiency in turnaround times. Strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential.
This job is covered by a collective bargaining agreement of the Transport Workers Union (TWU), a labor union that requires joining the TWU and paying union dues.
Part-Time Compensation Rate: $19.00 per hour. City & Airport: Phoenix, AZ - Sky Harbor International Airport
ResponsibilitiesSupervise and assist with the cleaning of aircraft cabins, including seats, tray tables, lavatories, and galleys.
Ensure compliance with airline standards, safety procedures, and sanitation guidelines.
Assign tasks to cabin cleaning agents and monitor performance to maintain efficiency.
Conduct inspections to ensure quality standards are met before aircraft departure.
Train new team members on proper cleaning techniques, equipment usage, and safety procedures.
Communicate with supervisors and airline representatives regarding cleaning schedules and special requests.
Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and request replenishments as needed.
Minimum RequirementsPrior experience in aircraft cabin cleaning or a related field preferred.
HS Diploma, GED, or Equivalent.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be able to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to read, write, fluently speak, and understand the English language.
Strong leadership, communication, and organization; ability to follow safety and sanitation guidelines.
Preferred SkillsExperience in supervising cleaning crews.
Familiarity with airline cleaning standards and procedures.
Ability to train and mentor team members.
Strong problem-solving and time-management skills.
Experience using cleaning equipment and supplies efficiently.
Physical Requirements/Working ConditionsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for long periods, bend, kneel, and work in confined spaces.
Exposure to various weather conditions and airport environments.
Ability to work in a fast-paced setting with strict deadlines.
May require wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed.
