Job DescriptionQuality EngineerShelby Twp., MISummaryThe Quality Engineer supports the development, application, and maintenance of quality standards across manufacturing processes, materials, and finished products. This role works closely with Engineering, Operations, and Customers to ensure products meet all quality and performance expectations.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesManage and support overall quality systems and processesParticipate in APQP, PPAP, and new product launch activitiesCollaborate with Engineering to troubleshoot production issuesDevelop sampling plans, forms, and instructions for quality data collection and reportingWork with Operations to ensure proper inspection methods and final product qualityRecord and analyze test data using statistical quality control practicesConduct internal, supplier, and layered process auditsMaintain and update the Corrective Action LogSupport Engineering Change Process (ECP) activitiesPerform gauge calibration, repair, and preventive maintenanceConduct product inspections (in-process, development studies, annual validation, PPAP)Assist with customer and supplier APQP requirementsSupport customers in cases of nonconforming material or quality concernsInterpret engineering drawings and GD&T standardsComplete scrap reporting and support continuous improvement initiativesPerform other duties as assigned Supervisory ResponsibilitiesNoneQualificationsAbility to communicate effectively with team membersExperience running and programming CMM equipment (PC-DMIS) preferredUnderstanding of automotive quality requirementsBachelor's degree in Engineering or related field preferred; OR2+ years of related quality or manufacturing experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experienceHigh-volume manufacturing experience preferredAbility to pass standard pre-employment screenings#ZR#IND1 Meet Your Recruiter
