Director or Aerospace Operations

A fast-growing, acquisition-driven platform in the aerospace manufacturing space is seeking a Director of Aerospace Operations to lead and scale a portfolio of manufacturing businesses.This is a high-impact leadership role overseeing multiple sites, driving operational performance, and integrating newly acquired companies into a unified, high-performing platform.You’ll work directly with executive leadership and play a key role in shaping the growth and scalability of the business.What You’ll DoOversee operations across multiple aerospace manufacturing sites Partner with General Managers to drive performance, accountability, and consistency Establish and standardize KPIs (OTD, quality, margin, throughput, capacity utilization) Lead operating reviews and implement performance improvement initiatives Drive capacity planning and align production with sales pipeline Support integration of newly acquired businesses into the platform Build dashboards and reporting to track performance across sites Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Sales, and Quality teams Engage with key customers and support audits as needed What We’re Looking For10+ years of experience in aerospace or precision manufacturing Proven success leading multi-site operations Strong track record driving KPIs and operational performance Experience with capacity planning and production optimization Background in private equity-backed or acquisition-driven environments is highly preferred Experience integrating acquisitions or scaling fragmented businesses Strong financial acumen (margin, cost structure, forecasting) Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on Why This RoleDirect exposure to executive leadership Opportunity to shape a growing aerospace platform High visibility and impact across multiple operating companies Fast-paced, growth-oriented environment with real upside Ideal ProfileExecution-driven and highly accountable Strong communicator who can influence at all levels Comfortable in ambiguity and rapid growth environments Naturally bridges operations, sales, and leadership
