Part-Time Java Developer 14-Week EngagementRemote - traveling in to CincinnatiAbout the RoleWe are seeking a Contract Java Developer to support a focused client project at an industrial consulting firm. In this role, you will work closely with our development team to build, enhance, and maintain applications using Java and Spring Boot. This is a hands-on development position for someone who enjoys delivering high-quality solutions, collaborating with stakeholders, and driving work forward efficiently.This is a short-term, impact-driven engagement with clear objectives, meaningful ownership, and the opportunity to contribute immediately.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and enhance applications using Java and Spring BootWrite clean, maintainable, and reliable code following established best practicesCollaborate with internal team members and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutionsParticipate in Agile development processes, including planning, development, testing, and deployment activitiesTroubleshoot issues, implement fixes, and contribute to ongoing application improvementsWork independently while maintaining clear communication and alignment with the project teamQualifications2–4 years of professional software development experienceStrong hands-on experience with Java and Spring BootExperience building and supporting web-based applications and APIsFamiliarity with Agile development methodologiesAbility to work independently, manage priorities, and deliver results with minimal oversightStrong problem-solving and communication skillsEngagement DetailsContract duration: 14 weeksSchedule: Approximately 20 hours per weekWorking hours: Standard daytime business hoursStart date: As soon as possibleWe are looking for a developer who can quickly integrate into the team, take ownership of assigned work, and make an immediate impact throughout the engagement.
