Must be flexible for some evenings and weekends as needed.Job SummaryThe Plant Controls Specialist maintains and troubleshoots production equipment from various suppliers. Identifies and prioritizes controls and/or electrical opportunities to maximize operations performance. Develops and maintains electrical and controls system documentation.Job ResponsibilitiesExecute both small and medium projects for production (includes PLC 5, SLC 500, Controls Logix, Panel View Plus, B&R, Scheider Electric and Beckhoff,and Allen Bradley/Siemens VFDs and Servos). Maintains controls hardware and software including PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, Networks, Servo Drives, etc. Provide proper training in controls and electricity to Maintenance Technicians to assist in minimizing production down time.Quickly identifies root causes of problems, as mechanical, controls or joint problems and coordinates resources necessary to address them.Troubleshoot pneumatics, conveyors, automated case packers, palletizers and automated guided vehicles.Troubleshoot GE Fanuc robots, vision systems and PID loops.Develops control programs to achieve the balance between mechanical and controls changes, effectively handling all containers.Maintains industrial networks, such as Device Net and Remote I/O, DH +, Ethernet.Participates on a team that supervises the electrical installation/integration of production equipment and the controls.Adheres to the NEC and electrical specifications required when participating in the installation/integration of equipment.Develops programs for the PLC, HMI, and Safety Controllers.Maintains Lock-Out, Tag-Out and Flash-Arc training to be properly educated for specific tasks pertaining to the role. Maintains a safe work environment and adheres to the safety policies and guidelines.Troubleshoot pneumatics, conveyors, automated case packers, palletizers and automated guided vehicles.Troubleshoot GE Fanuc robots, vision systems and PID loops.Job RequirementsBachelor's degree and a minimum of one year of work experience required, or a minimum of five years of progressive job experience including people, project, or account management with leadership and influencing skills required. Bachelor's degree preferred. Prior working experience in industrial environments preferred. Working knowledge of control systems such as LCs, VFDs, HMIs, and Networks (Device Net, ControlNet, Remote IO, Data Highway Plus, Ethernet and Servos) preferred.Previous experience with various Human Machine Interfaces and hydraulic/pneumatic systems preferred.Working knowledge of TPM/AM Pillar Tools including CIL-Clean, Inspect, Lubricate, SOC-Source of Contamination, RCO-Rapid Changeover, CL-Centerlines, and HTR-Hard to Reach.Sanitary process equipment (e.g. pumps, valves, CIP loops)Analytical skills required and capable of training in methodologies pertaining to problem solving techniques.Ability to assist the production team in approaches to Problem-Solving, Root-Cause-Analysis, and Corrective Actions.LEAN tools and TPM practices (CIL, CL, RCO, Root Cause Analysis)Pay: $72,213 - $84,956 a year About Heartland Coca-ColaHeartland Coca-Cola Bottling Company produces, sells, and distributes the highest quality and best tasting Coca-Cola and Monster Beverages across the states of Kansas, Missouri, and Illinois.
