Mechanical Engineer (Theme Park)

Job Title: Mechanical EngineerJob DescriptionWe are seeking a motivated and hard-working Mechanical Engineer with a strong design to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the amusement and theme park industry and 2-3 years of experience in mechanical and/or electrical applications engineering related to amusement ride machinery. This role requires knowledge of steel construction, welding, fasteners, machining, bearings, wheels, and conveyance systems. Knowledge of control systems, power distribution, electrical systems, motors and motor control systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, and human factors will be considered an advantage. The position is based in St. Petersburg, FL.ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop mechanical systems for amusement park rides.Apply knowledge of steel construction, welding, and machining in practical engineering tasks.Collaborate with teams to ensure project specifications are met.Read and interpret engineering drawings for amusement ride machinery.Manage projects efficiently, ensuring deadlines are met.Communicate effectively in written and verbal formats.Adapt to changing priorities and multi-task in a dynamic work environment.Essential Skills3-5 years of experience in the amusement/theme park industry.2-3 years of experience in mechanical and/or electrical applications engineering.Proficiency in AutoCAD and SOLIDWORKS.Strong understanding of mechanical systems engineering.Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.Proficient in MS Office Suite.Additional Skills & QualificationsFluency in additional language(s) is a plus.Knowledge of MS Project is advantageous.Strong expediting and project management skills.Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of St. Petersburg, FL.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $85000.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
