You'll collaborate closely with HR, Finance, Compliance, and IT teams to optimize payroll systems, strengthen internal controls, and drive operational improvements. This role plays a key part in ensuring the organization's payroll operations remain efficient, compliant, and resilient while supporting broader business goals.ResponsibilitiesOversee end-to-end payroll operations in a Dayforce managed services environment, including processing, reporting, reconciliations, and issue resolutionEnsure compliance with wage and hour laws, tax regulations, and employment standards across multiple states and jurisdictionsManage payroll-related audits, tax filings, and regulatory inquiriesEstablish and maintain strong payroll internal controls to prevent fraud, errors, and unauthorized changesDesign, standardize, and document payroll processes to improve accuracy, scalability, and audit readinessDevelop and maintain payroll business continuity and disaster recovery plansPartner with HRIS, Finance, IT, Compliance, and Dayforce Managed Services to align payroll operations with business prioritiesLead or support Dayforce payroll configuration, testing, validation, and parallel payroll testingEvaluate upstream and downstream impacts across HR, benefits, time & attendance, finance, reporting, and system integrationsAnalyze payroll data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost savingsSupport change management initiatives to drive adoption and sustainability of payroll system and process improvementsLead, mentor, and develop payroll team members while fostering a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvementQualifications7+ years of dedicated payroll experienceExperience managing payroll in large enterprise environments ~5,000–10,000 employeesExperience leading payroll process improvements in complex, multi-state environments - including California and ColoradoExperience working with Tier 1 HCM platformsPrior experience participating in HCM implementation or major payroll system optimizationExperience operating in unionized payroll environmentsStrong accountability mindset and ability to own issues through resolutionAbout the Hiring CompanyOur client is known for its commitment to operational excellence, innovation, and delivering high-quality beverages to communities throughout its service regions.
