Sr Financial Analyst

Job DescriptionJob Overview:The Financial Analyst is responsible for financial forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and account reconciliation, while supporting month-end and year-end close activities. This role analyzes financial and operational performance, including SG&A spending, budget variances, KPIs, and business trends, to identify risks and opportunities and provide meaningful insights and recommendations. The analyst prepares and delivers recurring and ad-hoc financial reports, manages quarterly forecasts, supports short- and long-term financial projections, and simplifies complex financial information for leadership using tools such as Excel, Oracle, JDE, and Business Intelligence platforms.ResponsibilitiesKey Tasks and Responsibilities:Financial Analyst is responsible for financial forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and account reconciliationThe analyst should review the company’s finances with a critical eye - spotting data anomalies, trends, or deviations - and recommends and supports management’s strategies for improvementAssists the senior FP&A Manager and Controller with providing short and long-term financial projectionsThe ability to simplify financial information to benefit the company leadership and decision-making is the daily domain of the analystDevelopment and communication of budgets and forecasts, financial reporting, operational analysis, and review of financialsConsolidate and report financial results, and reconcile account balanceCommunicate financial and operational performance trends, historical and forecasted, using appropriate metricsInterpret and evaluate monthly analyses of business trends, including budget variance of financial results and Key Performance Indicators to identify areas of risk and opportunities and provide recommendationsAnalyzing SGA spending variances and Develop bridges and assist with commentaries, explaining variances from prior year, forecast, and budgetIdentify issues and proactively initiate analysis for financial statementsDesigns, develops, and delivers monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad-hoc reports, charts, graphs, and presentation materials tailored to divisional and leadership needsManages quarterly forecasting for budgets incorporating operational trends, program, or strategic initiative changes, and updated financial or operational assumptionsThe analyst is also adept at software programs like Excel, Oracle, JDE and Business Intelligence toolsAssist in month-end and year-end financial closing activitiesAd-hoc analysisEssential Qualifications and Education:Required: Bachelor's Degree Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related business specialtyAdvance degree in Finance/Accounting or MBA is a plusRequired: minimum Five years’ experience in data analysis, accounting, or financial analysisExperience with ERP (Oracle, or SAP) systems, Essbase, FCCS, EPBCS, and SmartView is a plusMust have heavy Excel skills and forecasting and budgeting experienceAbout UsOur ingenuity fuels daily life.
