Medical Lab Scientist / Medical Lab Technician / Medical Technologist

The Hospital currently has a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Technician position open. This is a full-time, variable 12-hour day/night shift position, including every 4th weekend and holiday rotation. The MT/MLT/MLS collects and receives specimens, performs phlebotomy procedures and performs testing in Chemistry, Hematology, Immunohematology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, Immunology, Microbiology, Blood Gases, Molecular testing and Toxicology. Duties: - Perform laboratory tests and procedures - Collect and process specimens for analysis - Operate and maintain laboratory equipment - Analyze test results and report findings to medical staff - Maintain accurate records of tests performed and results obtained - Assist with laboratory management tasks as needed Qualifications: Medical Technologist - Bachelor’s degree in CLS or Medical Technology or related science and successful completion of an approved Medical Technology internship program, OR Medical Laboratory Technician - Associate degree from an accredited School of Clinical Laboratory Sciences and completion of an approved clinical laboratory internship.
