Service Center ClerkCoordinates the activities of Front End employees on assigned shift, while providing the best customer service possible to fulfill our customers needs.Greets customers when within ten feet and four seconds of contact, by name if possible during transactionsMonitors the flow of front end, keeps track of breaksProvides extensive customer service, answers questions, responds to complaints, processes money orders and cleaner rentals, sells stamps and bus passes, gives out rain checks if necessaryProcesses customer returns, audits register tills, and orders change for the service center, fills change orders of cashiersSupervises courtesy clerks and general clerksResponsible for handling large sums of money safelyPerforms outs and drops from cashier tills and able to clear register locks, such as voidsRegister accuracy, knows/ carries out proper register procedures, price integrityGeneral fronting of shelves, basic cleaning, keep workstation clean and organized by dusting, wiping, and sweeping area, hourly checks of grocery floorDuties of a courtesy and general clerk if neededPerforms other related duties as needed as assigned by managerStand for long periods of time, very frequent walking back and forth from each register to around the storeCarry up to 50 pounds, push and pull up to seven shopping carts, frequent motions with arms/hands to ring up/bag groceriesUse proper safety proceduresAble to multitask, listen to directions and follow through independentlyAble to deal with difficult customers, have good communication and observation skillsAble to work with a team and independently when neededPrevious experience working with the publicBasic mathematical knowledge and cash handling experience preferredWorking knowledge of produce codes required, while able to differentiate between different produce productsBasic knowledge of working with computers such as spreadsheets, email, word documents.Air condition while in store, subject to outside conditions of heat, rain, wind while helping customers to their cars, and chill temperatures if products need to be retrieved from chillVery fast pacedMust be at least 21 years of age in accordance with company policyQSI reserves the right to request a review of written employee screening practices (background check) before employment in the booth.
