As an Electrical Installation Engineer I, you will be a viable member of a team focused on creating highly efficient design plans for building state-of-the-art passenger trains.
Key Activities
Design and integrate mechanical components for electrical enclosures, cabinets, cable ducts, and harnesses
Develop wiring overviews based on system functional diagrams and electrical schematics
Generate concepts, specifications, and other relevant technical documentation as needed
Adhere to project schedules and budgetary constraints
Provide support to Procurement, Production, and Commissioning departments
Analyze and incorporate local, federal, and customer requirements into the system design
Take ownership for the design, documentation, and performance of sub-systems
Conduct First Article Inspections (FAIs) for various systems as needed
Integrate electrical systems into vehicles
Technical coordination with other disciplines, including installation planning, mechanical engineering, fire protection, car body engineering, etc.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
0-2 years of relevant experience in industries such as railway, defense, automotive, aerospace, or similar
Organized approach to managing the integration of multiple projects, conducting testing, and preparing all associated deliverables within the system
Proficiency in electrical/mechanical CAD design (e.g. Catia V5)
Ability to interpret and implement electrical schematics is a plus
Experience with schematic software (e.g., Zuken E3 or Ruplan) is a plus
Experience with PLM and ECN systems (e.g., SmarTeam)
Strong verbal communication and technical writing skills
Effective problem-solving abilities and a collaborative team player capable of working with cross-functional teams
Business fluent in English; any level of proficiency in German is a plus
