Extrusion Technician

Job DescriptionA manufacturing company is seeking an Extrusion Technician who will be responsible for setting up and operating extrusion lines to produce high-quality plastic cylinders and profiles that meet customer specifications for quality, quantity, and on-time delivery. You will work Monday through Thursday from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. or 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. with Fridays off unless working overtime.Job Duties:Set up and operate extrusion lines using thermoplastic materialsLoad raw material, mix colors, and monitor material qualityAssemble and install tooling using hand toolsAdjust machine setting, including temperature, speed, and pressureInspect parts visually and with measuring toolsMaintain accurate production and inspection recordsPackage finished parts and build skids for shippingCommunicate job status across shifts and follow quality inspection protocolsOperate granulators and assist in training new team membersLearn to operate tow motors/forkliftsJob RequirementsJob Qualifications:A high school diploma or GED is preferredMust have a mechanical aptitude with the ability to use hand toolsPrior experience in extrusion or plastics manufacturing is a plusMust be able to lift 55 pounds and stand for extended periodsMust have the ability to pay a strong attention to detail and qualityMust be willing to learn and follow safety and quality proceduresMust be safety-conscious, be dependable, and have steel toed bootsOnly candidates that can pass a background check and drug screen will be considered.
